Aims of this Module
- To introduce you to the process of carrying out a literature search of an online electronic database (PubMed);
- To provide you with a relevant list of other electronic information sources;
- To make you aware of some of the problems that relate to research evidence, and of the importance of carrying out a comprehensive literature search.
Objectives of this module
- To formulate a search question based on your research question;
- To undertake a number of basic searches using the PubMed database;
- To carry out a search in PubMed, save a 'history' of that search and retrieve a 'manageable number' of titles;
- To apply the skills to your area of research interest
